The idea in one view.

Respect what people know

Existing teams understand the service and its history. Capture that knowledge and identify where specialist or shared-service support would help.

Route the right work

Distinguish shared platform work, mission-system integration, service operations and cyber defense. An alert needs an accountable receiving team.

Make improvement repeatable

Use runbooks, knowledge records, tested automation and reviewed performance evidence. AI may assist triage; an agreed authority controls operational action.

Three questions for leadership.

  1. Who receives an issue, and when does another team take responsibility?
  2. Which knowledge, skills or tests would reduce repeated escalation?
  3. How will the operating model adapt as the service changes?

Use the visibility to support the people and processes that keep the mission running.
