Hybrid cloud foundations

How do we prepare the whole environment—people, processes and technology?

The idea in one view.

Bring the five perspectives together: mission, platform, integration, operations and assurance. Use the framework when planning change or reviewing a program already under way.

Start with the decision

Understand mission priorities, existing strengths, constraints and unknowns. The same questions support an initial strategy or a focused review of current operations.

Make investment traceable

Connect each option to evidence, dependencies, skills, operating effort and a proposed owner. Separate known costs and benefits from estimates that still need validation.

Plan beyond implementation

Day 2: operate what was built. Year 2: sustain it as missions, people, providers and controls change. Prepare the knowledge, ownership and review cadence for both.

Three questions for leadership.

  1. Which decision needs a clearer picture of dependencies and readiness?
  2. What targeted investment would address an evidenced review area?
  3. Who will maintain the plan, evidence and operating knowledge?

Prepare the whole environment, whether the next step is a new plan or an improvement to what already runs.
