Know what should be visible.
Then choose where to process it.

Compare a separately authored source inventory with recorded receipts. Explore collection alternatives without declaring a tool or a location the answer.

Fictional message-service cases only. The inventory is a teaching declaration, not client acceptance. Missing a security-alert feed is different from a producer being entirely silent. No alert may have been generated; absence here does not prove an outage or missing CSSP coverage.

Showing case 1 of 6.

Recent change and service degradation

Receipt window: 2026-10-06T12:00:00.000Z ≤ received time < 2026-10-06T12:30:00.000Z.

Receipt evidence only, using [from, to). Repeated deliveries count as received records, never unique incidents or coverage percentage. Occurrence time is not substituted for receipt time; neither timestamp is independently verified.

Matching receipt present

release-worker

At least one matching receipt is recorded in this half-open window. This does not prove continuous coverage, losslessness, trustworthy clocks or useful content.

Expectation and evidence limitations

Look for the declared worker release context in this sample. Absence does not prove there was an unrecorded change.

Conflicting IDs: None in this sample.

Withheld by the separate time-association rule: None in this sample. Being received does not make a record suitable for that rule.

At least one matching receipt is recorded in this half-open window. This does not prove continuous coverage, losslessness, trustworthy clocks or useful content.

Expectation and evidence limitations

Reconcile worker telemetry coverage and expected delivery with the source owner; a sample is not a continuous coverage guarantee.

Conflicting IDs: None in this sample.

Withheld by the separate time-association rule: None in this sample. Being received does not make a record suitable for that rule.

Expectation and evidence limitations

Retain reported service impact. No report may mean no report was made; it does not prove a collection failure.

Conflicting IDs: None in this sample.

Withheld by the separate time-association rule: None in this sample. Being received does not make a record suitable for that rule.

Expectation and evidence limitations

Account for the queue security-alert feed separately. No alert does not mean no threat, a failed feed or missing CSSP coverage.

Conflicting IDs: None in this sample.

Withheld by the separate time-association rule: None in this sample. Being received does not make a record suitable for that rule.

Records outside the declared inventory

0 unmatched records retained. Unknown service mappings are not automatically assigned to an expected feed.

Inventory review and exact source pairing

review-recorded · Fictional inventory reviewer · synthetic://independent-inventory/v1

Separately authored teaching inventory, not inferred from the supplied events. Recorded review is a declaration, not authentication or client acceptance.

This compares a declared inventory with a bounded fictional sample. It cannot establish complete enterprise monitoring, feed health, expected delivery frequency, service entitlement, CSSP coverage or authority. Inventory review is recorded, not authenticated.

Collection architecture is a separate decision

Changing the path below does not repair a missing feed, validate an inventory or alter the receipt evidence above. These alternatives reuse the architecture explorer's existing definitions.

Placement decision remains open.

Keep the choice open
  1. Known sources

    Source side

  2. Placement decision pending

    Processing relationship

  3. Enterprise service view

    Enterprise conversation

The diagram separates collection from understanding. It does not place a monitoring hub in the GSS.

Why consider this?

Start with current monitoring, source owners and mission-service questions.

What changes?

A platform label or an existing alert stream does not establish enterprise coverage.

Confirm before choosing

Inventory the existing tools and allowed data flows before choosing a placement.

Evidence to request

Obtain coverage and ownership evidence; do not infer topology from this concept map.

Keep cost and handling assumptions visible

No option is priced, approved or preferred by this comparison. Confirm permitted data classes, identities, destinations, retention, expected volume, filtering, transport and egress, storage, retrieval, loss behavior and operating ownership. Federation may still move data; a central environment need not be the GSS.

A security service, cloud foundation, retained service and enterprise service desk can have separate duties. An architecture choice does not establish entitlement, delegated authority or an SLA/OLA.
